Palestinian Youth Tell Their Stories through Digital Storytelling

Stories are told to be heard. They create a sense of being, a sense of existing in this world. They define one's history, one's culture and they offer different perspectives to life. Since the past two years, workshops are being held with young people in Palestine in digital storytelling. The goal is to use digital media as a tool for expression, empowerment, and advocacy for children and youth - and as a means of telling their stories and coping with hardships experienced. Their pieces offer previously unheard perspectives on Palestinian history, culture, life under occupation and visions for justice. These powerful stories are now posted on-line and have been subtitled in English and compiled into the newly released Digital Resistance.
