Telling Armenian Folktales to Children in East London

It has been an eventful weekend of storytelling which culminated with storytelling colleague Susan and I telling Armenian folktales to young children at Discover, in Stratford, East London, as part of Eastern European month. Discover turned out to be a truly exciting story making centre, walking distance from Stratford tube station. It provides a unique and magical indoor and outdoor play space for children aged 0 to 11 and parents, creating a space where stories can be told and created together through play and imagination. City of Stories is a new exhibition which opened end of March and running until end of August, featuring fantastic legends, folk stories and traditional tales from all the communities that make up East London including Bengali, Polish, Roma, African, Albanian, English and Tamil. If you have young children, it's definitely worth a visit!
